Turistët ishin në një lundrim zhytjeje që u largua nga Port Ghalib më 6 qershor dhe supozohej të ktheheshin të dielën.

Sipas autoriteteve lokale, në bord ndodheshin 15 pasagjerë britanikë, dhjetë anëtarë të ekuipazhit dhe dy udhërrëfyes. Gjithsej 24 persona u shpëtuan, përfshirë 12 britanikë. Kërkimi për tre britanikët është ende në vazhdim dhe të gjithë u shpëtuan në mënyrë të sigurt.
